Reid, sometimes the world throws us a really big curve ball. I know this is hard to swallow, but there are some things we can't figure out. But that's what makes life interesting: the chance for us to adapt and get through these things. This world, real as it is, is something for us to explore.

[She pauses, hoping her words made some sort of sense.] You have to be positive throughout it all, or otherwise all those questions are going to just drag you down. I know it's difficult given your logical nature, but you'll pull through like you have before. [And there's her familiar smile once more.]
