1st Genius α Video/Action for New Bark Ω
[It takes him a bit to figure out how the hell to start the feed. When he finally does, all PokéConnect is treated to the sight of a deceptively calm man dressed in purple pants and a white shirt tied with a gray obi, the traditional psychic’s outfit. An Absol keeps pacing behind him, as if expecting him to fall over at any moment and preparing itself to catch him. Honestly, that’s because it is, since its new Trainer has had a massive panic attack that caused him to pass out once already, and Absol can sense that there will be more to come. This is going to be a long partnership.]
Morgan, if this is a prank, alright. You got me. You win the war.
[The man holds up his hands in defeat, still unnaturally calm.]
I don’t know how you did it, but you can stop now. I get it. You can make the Pokémon go away. Once again, I have no idea how you did it…
[His throat gets tight. He struggles to keep his breathing even.
Please, Morgan. Please oh please make this stop.]
But you can stop it now. I have a lot of work to do, and giving me strange clothes, asking a woman to pretend to be my mother, and trying to make me doubt my own sanity is not helping.
[Please let this be a prank. Please say he’s not completely insane.]
And you can turn off the music while you're at it.

Huh. She reacted strangely. Reid would have guessed she had disdain for religion in general, but she didn't scoff until he started talking about what Noah's wife would do. Maybe she's just disdainful of how the story makes it sound like mothering is all women are good for.]
Of course I'm from Earth. Las Vegas in the United States, to be specific.
[Beat.]
There are people here who aren't from Earth?
[...
ALIENS.
HE IS HALLUCINATING ALIENS.
BECAUSE WHY THE FUCK NOT.]
[Audio]
I mean, wherever this is, it's a different world. And people are pulled from all over the place.
One of my friends is like, this guy who used to be a giant robot. It's pretty crazy.
[A pause-- and then, as though to make up for the fact that she was talking about some pretty weird stuff, she shifts the topic.]
Las Vegas, huh?
I'm from Maine. Portland area.
[Audio]
[...
...
WHY DO YOU SAY THESE THINGS HEATHER HE IS NOT WELL
Yes let's just change topic now]
Portland area? What town? I've, um, I've been to a lot of the towns there. Professionally. I travel in my job a lot.
[Audio]
Er-- well, I guess to be more accurate, I lived in Portland when I was little. We moved around a bit after that. Bangor's where we ended up.
Did your job ever take you there? ... What is your job?
[She's not gonna mention Silent Hill. That place might have been where she was born, but it's not home.]
[Audio]
Bangor? I was there on a case once some time ago.
[He makes a movement as if he was going to put his hands in his pockets, but then he remembers he has no pockets. He goes back to just fidgeting with his hands.]
I'm, um, I'm a profiler? In the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI. I, uh, usually track down serial killers by making a psychological profile of them.
[Audio]
... FBI, huh?
[Not too long ago, her reception to that answer might have been a fair bit colder. She'd never trusted cops of any kind-- not since watching her father be manhandled into a cop car when she was very small over what had turned out to be a justified case self-defense.]
[But befriending the World's Specialest Agent had changed her tune a little-- at least in regards to the higher-ups. Regular beat-cops probably couldn't earn her respect no matter how hard they tried.]
So you were hunting down a serial killer in MY town? When?
