This is a survey meant to gather data on who comes to this place, where they come from, and under what circumstances do they come and go. Due to the fact that the answers to these questions could stray into personal territory, the code for a private filter has been provided for you to use at your discretion.

Brief description of your world: I'm from 1970, and I live in Japan! Well, I have a bunch of stuff that I guess most people don't have, but that's because of Doraemon who time traveled from the future to bring it to me so that I wouldn't end up having a terrible future! And oh, there are aliens, but I haven't seen them that often. And I've met God before! And fought demons! But I'm not sure all of them actually were demons because Doraemon said one of them was just from another dimension. And another was just an alien. But I can tell you all about those adventures if you want! They were really really cool.

Brief description of your life: Of course I live with my family! I have my mom and my dad and Doraemon. The weather's really nice most of the time, but it hardly ever snows.

Brief description of your world: I guess it's normal, though I don't have any other worlds to compare it to except this one. I lived in Northeastern Japan; first in a village in the Aomori prefecture and then a few different places. There are ghosts though; a lot of them. Some are harmless. Some are really not. When I left it was 1988.

Brief description of your life: It was alright. I lived with my mom and sister, but now I live with my uncle. He's a journalist and a folklorist and he lives in a bigger city then I'm used to. He has friends in Osaka, so I suppose I'm excepted to go with him. I'm not sure about money, but he's supposedly successful at his writing and things.

I know you probably wanted this, like, filled out on the 'Gear in text or whatever, but I can't spell, dude. And this is, like... important stuff, so I figured I'd just do this and you can record it or whatever, instead.

Okay, so... my name's Miyuki Chitose, and I'm a girl, duh. I turned eleven a couple weeks ago. [ She pauses. ] Well, a couple weeks ago here. I'm probably, like... almost twelve by now, because it was almost my birthday when I left home, right? I don't know how to figure that out, but I'm probably twelve. I've been here a year aaaand... [ She checks something on the 'Gear. ] ... Fifteen days. I got here on September 11th last year.

My world was pretty boring, actually. No dragons or magic or demons or any cool stuff like that. At least, I never saw any. I'm from Earth, and it was 2008 when I left. August, like a couple days before my birthday, so maybe the 20th or something?

I met other people who were from Earth, too, and even kind of the same year, but a lot of them had magic and cool stuff. Ghosts or whatever. [ She juts her lips out in a brief pout, then refocuses on the survey questions. ]

... I don't know what... so... see-oh... ecawhatever is, dude. Got a smaller word for it? —Anyway, I'm just a kid, so I live with my mom and dad. I have a brother, too, but he goes to school in Osaka. Me and my mom and dad live in Kumamoto, Kyuushuu. [ Almost as an afterthought: ] That's in Japan.

I play tennis, so that was, like, a big thing in my life. I'm gonna go to Nationals in middle school, for sure. My brother plays, too, and he went to Nationals every year in middle school. I guess I was pretty happy.

[ She's quiet for a moment, examining the next question. ] I don't think anything weird happened before I left. I was watching the middle school national tourney, so I was in Tokyo. It was pretty much totally awesome, except my brother's team lost in the semifinals.

I've never been back home since I came here, but I did glitch out for, like, five weeks. I was in Vermilion, and, like, I just... blinked, and it was five weeks later? I dunno, dude. But I didn't go back home, and I didn't have any new memories or whatever. Super weird.

There've been a ton of people from my world here, though. Let me see... my brother, Poison-bro— [ She stops short. On second thought, maybe she should give him actual names? This is an official survey, after all. ] Uh, my brother, Senri... Shitenhouji's Shiraishi, Tooyama, Oshitari, Zaizen.... Rikkaidai's whole team, like, came and went, which is eight people.... Seigaku's Tezuka, Fuji, Kikumaru... that other Fuji from, like... St. Rudolph, I think..... Hyoutei's Atobe, Oshitari... Shishido.... ?

I dunno, dude, there've been, like, a ton. All of 'em are on the middle school tennis circuit, and I'm pretty sure all their teams went to nationals. Semifinals, even, except Hyoutei lost in the quarterfinals and I don't know when St. Rudolph got knocked out.

Some of them showed up before me and some after; some came and went while I was here.... If you really want, I can try to count everyone and figure it all out — there's still, like... two dudes from my world here who can help me.

[ Her voice goes gradually flat over the next few sentences, and she starts to look a little sullen. ]

Nothing weird happens when people disappear, though. It just happens. They're here one day, and then they're not, and you wind up with some of their Pokémon sometimes, or sometimes you don't. There's no warning or anything. They're just gone.

[ She looks away, off to one side of the 'Gear. ] Only one dude left and came back, and when he came back, he didn't remember me anymore. Like, not even from our own world. He probably came here from sometime before I ever met him, because he didn't even know my brother was on his tennis team. He sure didn't remember anything about this place.

More specifically in Osaka, Japan. There's nothing supernatural in our world, at least so that I know of. Brief description of your life: I'm a second year in middle school and the captain of my tennis team. I live with my parents and two sisters and I'd say my life is generally happy and quite normal. Circumstances surrounding your abduction: I was just going to tennis practice when I woke up here. Nothing weird happened before it. Your history here: I went home for a week, but I was in coma in this world during the whole time. I have heard that I've been here before though, but I was older then, so I have no memories of being here before. Others from your world: There are two others from my world. Yagyuu is from a rival team of ours and Miyuki is a sister of a rival I played against recently before coming here. I don't know very much about them as I haven't really met either one before in my world. They've been here longer than me. Brief description of your world: Planet earth. 7 continents, 4 oceans, and a lot of countries. Lot of people too. The year is 1989. I think we’re from the same world, so I’m not sure how much more detail you need.

Brief description of your life: I am a Regional Bureau Chief for the FBI. Most recently, I was in the state of Washington to reinstate a fellow agent. For the most part, I’m happy about my life.

Circumstances surrounding your abduction: I was able to hear someone. Without my hearing aids. Also, I had a delicious pie from the diner in Twin Peaks, Washington.

How long you've been here: Almost two years.

Brief description of your world: It used to be earth, however at thirteen my friends and I took part in a game that destroyed it with meteors and transported us to the world of the game. The game is used to prolong the existence of reality, with the goal being to create a new universe. Alchemy, magic, invincible enemies, giant green suns, grey skinned humanoids called trolls, meteors that can sustain life, and many other things are possible here. The universe is a frog. That's about as brief as I can make this.

Brief description of your life: I lived with my mother in a forest in New York where it almost always rained. My life was nothing to complain about until the game happened and suddenly we were doomed to die, my mother was killed, my best friend was stabbed, my brother and I were sent on a suicide mission, I was gripped by the eldritch powers of horrible gods, we created an impossible to defeat enemy and were currently on a rock flying through space for three years in which I wouldn't see two of my best friends until the end of the journey. And we still don't know if we will win or not.

Circumstances surrounding your abduction: I had just gotten my friend into the game and was about to enter myself when I first arrived here.

Your history here: Yes, once. I hadn't remembered a thing back home, and hadn't noticed anything strange leading up to it. Supposedly I merely passed out and was out for a week, in which I spent a large amount of time at home, and then "returned" here and woke up. Once I did, all my memories of Johto returned.

Others from your world: Histories will be very difficult, but all humans mentioned have endured similar issues that I have, and all trolls similar issues with each other. Carapaces, Scratch and Bec...I have no idea where to begin with them. Personalities can be generally classified as pleasant, though Eridan can fuck right off for all I care, Gamzee can be considered 'conditionally psychotic' and all Striders are insufferable pricks.

Brief description of your world: earth, year 2009. our version of earth went through apocalypse by meteor though. i have spoken to some other people here where that didn't happen so make of that what you will. this might make me sound crazy, but my three best friends and i survived by playing a game called sburb. yes, a video game. it transported us to a place called the medium, where it was basically kind of like being in an action rpg. you fought monsters, went on quests, all that fun stuff. only it was all real. i could go into more detail if you're really curious but we will probably be here for a while.

Brief description of your life: i lived in washington with my dad (adoptive, technically he's my half brother) up until my thirteenth birthday when the meteors hit. washington the state, that is, not d.c. assuming you're from earth as well. if you're not then just ignore that. overall, i would say it was pretty good.

Circumstances surrounding your abduction: the only strange thing was sburb. right before coming here i was about to bring my sister into the game.

Your history here: supposedly i was here for a very brief period once before. i don't remember it and i think at this point my sister is the only one who would even remember the first me.

Others from your world: yes, quite a few actually. my three best friends are all here, their names are rose lalonde, dave strider, and jade harley. dave's older brother (technically his dad) whose name i don't actually know was here for a while as well. jade's dog, becquerel also came here once, though he was turned into a human just like any and all aliens that come here. then there are the twelve trolls, who are aliens from a planet called alternia. they also played sburb, though a different session than ours. their names are vriska serket, karkat vantas, aradia megido, feferi peixes, nepeta leijon, equius zahhakm tavros nitram, sollux captor, gamzee makara, terezi pyrope, kanaya maryam, and eridan ampora. at one point there were a couple of carapace here, which are these chess-piece looking guys from the medium. i know that spades slick and clubs deuce were here but supposedly diamonds droog was as well. there was also this kind of creepy guy named doc scratch. no idea who he is exactly or where he comes from, but supposedly he was from our world.

rose lalonde is my fiancee and best friend. she is still here and arrived a week or so after i did.
dave strider is my best friend and he's been here five times now. the first time he was here before i was, then he disappeared and came back barely a week later, stayed for a few months, and then did a disappear-reappear-rebound again. after he disappeared that time it was a while before he showed up for the fourth time. he wasn't around long before he disappeared AGAIN and he just showed up a week or so ago for the fifth time.
jade harley is my best friend and my twin sister, though technically her birthday is four months before mine. she's been here a few weeks longer than i have, iirc.
"bro" strider was here for a couple of months about a year ago. he has yet to return.
becquerel is jade's dog and he was here...last summer i think it was. disappeared after a few months and has not returned.
vriska serket is my best friend and moirail. she has been here three times. the first time she was here before me and the second time she wasn't here for very long but reappeared very quickly. she's still here.
karkat vantas is a close friend and he has also been here three times. the first was before me. his pattern is more-or-less the same as vriska's, though during different months. he's still here.
aradia megido is a good friend. she and i arrived on the same day. she disappeared though, and came back after a few months, only to disappear a second time. she hasn't come back again.
feferi peixes is a friend and she's been here...twice i think? i'm not exactly sure, it could be more than that. she's not here right now though.
nepeta leijon is a good friend and she's been here three times that i know of. all three of which was after me. she's still here.
equius zahhak is an acquaintence. if he was here before this thime, i never got the chance to talk to him.
tavros nitram is a friend and he's been here three times that i know of. pattern is once again similar to vriska's.
sollux captor is...a friendly aquaintence? idk. he's been here twice though. up until his disappearance i few months ago i think he had been here the longest out of anybody from our universe. he returned somewhat quickly and is still here.
gamzee makara was a good friend but i don't think that's true anymore. he's been here three times. he was here before me, then left, then came back after a few months, then disappeared, then just came back again a few weeks ago. interestingly, the second time he arrived here, he remembered the everything from the first time he was here.
terezi pyrope once tried to kill me so i guess we're acquaintences. she's been here...two or three times i think? i really don't know since she never traveled with us or anything. i know that the first time she was here it was before me. she's not here now though, and hasn't been for a while.
kanaya maryam is barely even an acquaintence. we've spoken a grand total of three times and i have no idea if she's been here more than once. she's not here now though, and hasn't been for a while.
eridan ampora is a douchebag. he's been here three times and is (regrettably) still here. he was here before me the first time.
of the carapace, the only one i actually spoke to was clubs. they aren't here anymore and haven't been for a while.

Circumstances around disappearances by other people from your world: not really? the first time dave disappeared he got kind of spacey and quiet in the weeks leading up to it but that's about it.

Frequency of 'replacements': oh shit i already answered this didn't i? sorry for putting it in the wrong place. but as a note, gamzee is the only one who remembered being here and it was just that one time. when i came back this most recent time, he didn't remember anything.

You seem... older. [Which is kind of impressive to him, because he's seen a TON of teenagers who seem 'older'. But he could almost always tell around what age they were. He guessed that Mio was closer to seventeen or eighteen.]

Age: 16 I think here. Or 4, if you want to be technical. I was born February 29th.

How long you've been here: Almost 10 months.

Brief description of your world: The Isle of Berk is pretty much a cold and miserable place with a bunch of giant, angry, smelly, loud people making a living. (There are a few exceptions to that description, of which I am one. For many reasons.) As I mentioned before, there are dragons, and my mentor Gobber is pretty convinced that there are trolls, too, so I wouldn't be surprised. Before dragons, we mainly got around by ship, and those tend to crash a lot more.

Brief description of your life: I covered a good bit of this by describing Berk, since the people are a lot like the land they live on. I live with my dad, the chief of our tribe, the Hairy Hooligans, and my dragon, Toothless. All fifteen of my years there I was mastering the art of disappointing others and causing accidental destruction. Oddly enough, sticking me in the workshop at the age of two (not the 'literal' two based on my birthday--the actual two of having spent two years living) was the best way to keep mishaps at a minimum, even if it gave me access to materials to work with and put me near sharp objects, burning coals, and an increasingly eccentric man. The people of Berk had been at war with dragons for seven generations until some dashing viking teen had the idea to get to know them instead of slay them. Friendships were made, a dragon bigger than a mountain was fought, and peace was had. In case you were wondering, said charmer that brought such victory and peace was me.
Recently, though, the dragons have left, turning our usual merry holiday of Snoggletog (the equivalent of Christmas as far as I can tell, if you're more familiar with that name) into something considerably less so. (If you talk to a girl named Astrid about Berk's dragons, please don't tell her that part.)

Circumstances surrounding your abduction: Astrid had just met my dragon Toothless, and we had just discovered the dragon nest. The next day was supposed to be my final exam, where I would have needed to slay a dragon in front of the tribe's Elder if I didn't come up with another of my brilliant plans. Oh, and I got my first kiss.
It was actually a pretty exciting day, now that I think about it.

Your history here: I'm pretty sure this is my first time here, since no one's told me otherwise and I don't have any memory of being here before. After my first week, I was mysteriously transported to a different city during a span of three missing days. I once also spent one full week asleep while my brain was back on Berk and when I woke up, I had new memories from home. More recently, I disappeared for a little over three weeks and woke up without realizing any time had passed.

Others from your world: I've seen two people from home, here. One was my best friend Toothless (and yes, he's the dragon). He was in Johto before me, and left about three months after I came here. While he was here, he was transformed into a human, but he still had sharper teeth and had a hard time talking. Normally he's the fastest kind of dragon known to vikings, a Night Fury, only some idiot kid knocked him down with a bola sling and he wound up minus one tailfin. Because of this, he couldn't fly on his own until recently. Toothless can be kind of goofy and a trouble-maker, but he's reliable and the greatest friend I could ask for. When he isn't stomping around being jealous or flying off with a prosthetic fin, that is.
The other one is Astrid Hofferson, a girl from my tribe. She was pretty much the greatest hope for a warrior, out of us Hairy Hooligan teens, and now that our focus has shifted away from fighting a bit, she's turning out to be a splendid rider as well. oh right, sorry. trolls have four types of romance because they are weird and complicated like that.
moirallegiance is one of them.
basically it's where one troll (or human, in this case) keeps another one's violent tendencies in check. on her end, vriska pushes me to try harder and "not be so l8me."
so it's two people/trolls who balance each other out and push each other to become the best that they can be.
it's platonic though, so it's not like i have two girlfriends or something.

as for the twin thing, none of us were born by conventional means.
i created all four of us, as well as our biological parents in a lab inside the game with time-exploited ghost slime.
we were then sent back to earth on meteors to crash land and grow up and yadda bladda some kind of circular self-fulfilling prophecy thing.
so while jade and i were cloned at the same time, we didn't land on earth at the same time. same goes for dave and rose, though they're only a day apart instead of several months.
this is also why my dad is only my adoptive dad, not my genetic one.

Some people can recount as many as four of these events; I can personally only remember one. I did see someone I know in one of those periods, once, and I can say for certain that I'm not the only one who did. But this world seems to have taken Puck's words to heart — this weak and idle theme proved no more yielding but a dream.
