[WHY DOES THE WORLD HATE HIM

But for whatever reason, the world is glitching out around him in particular, and he somehow keeps finding himself landing in a tree. Or a cactus. Or an icy mountain face. Or a roof. Really, he's traveling around both Johto and Kanto, and he's getting a good view of every somewhat elevated surface out there.
So WHEREVER you are, there's the sound of asqueak yipe startled noise above you. And when you look up, there is a thoroughly frazzled genius sitting (or falling) about ten feet up.]

And by "masked dude" I do in fact mean "Zorro".]
You seem to be in a bit of trouble, señor! Perhaps I can be of some assistance?
no subject
I... y-yes, if you could--if you could help me at all, I w-would really appreciate that.
[It's past the point where he cares about how unpleasant touching strangers is and how fundamentally embarrassing he finds the situation. He is cold and damp (from falling in snow), there's a little blood speckled on his arm (from falling on a cactus), and he is generally eager to get his feet on the ground without breaking any bones.]

You're caught on a branch, my friend. Try not to move, and I will free you.
[And up into the tree he goes, sticking to the lower branches and only climbing high enough that he can get near the offending branch for a look.
And of course, the branch problem is easily remedied by virtue of the fact that he's got this very nice sword...]

Reid instinctively rolls into a ball immediately, and then BAM. Ow. Pain.
He groans softly on the ground, still in a ball, but out of sheer habit, he says,] Thank you...

Once he gets there, though, it's easier to see just how much of a wreck Reid really is at this point, damp and torn and even a little bloody in places, and that's when the chuckling abruptly goes away.]
You're hurt badly. What has done this to you?
[ONE LITTLE FALL FROM A TREE DIDN'T DO ALL THAT, BRO.]
no subject
[He's going to be very sore for a while.]
I don't know what's happening, but whatever it is has been teleporting me around to places that are elevated off of surrounding surfaces. Luckily, it's never been a longer fall than roughly ten feet, and I haven't broken any bones so far.
[Also, yay, this newest fall didn't hurt him. But boo, it's making all his growing bruises ache. Give him a second, he's going to try to stand up.]

So, despite Reid being huge and gangly, Zorro is going to help remedy this problem by carefully picking him up and setting him back on his feet. Also as kind of an apology for the dropping him from the tree thing.]
I will take you to the nearest town and leave you in the care of a doctor.
[When he thinks Reid is steady enough to stand alone for a minute, he strides over to his Rapidash and retrieves a length of rope from the saddle before returning and offering it to him.]
Perhaps if we secure you to something, that will help to keep you in one place, eh?
no subject
Reid is vaguely surprised by the contact, but he's beyond caring, so he doesn't react beyond a soft 'thanks' and trying to steady himself on his shaky legs.] I'm hoping they'll know what's happening better than I do. This has never happened before while I've been here.
[He looks at the rope, then nods hesitantly.] It's worth a shot, right? But it's possible that I'd take whatever I'm attached to with me next time I disappear.
no subject
If that is so, then at least you will be in the company of someone to catch you the next time.
[Zorro is always here for the man in need, bro.]
