Profiling Permission/Information!

Reid is a profiler. That means he can deduce everything about you by walking into your bedroom.

Here, if you specifically DON'T want him to be able to profile your characters, please say so and we'll figure out an IC reason he can't together.

Alternatively, if you want to help me have him profile your character, please tell me a bit about them and their mannerisms either in brackets are right here. Thank you!

I already gave you permission, but I'll give it here again! \o/ Most things I'll put in brackets, but some other things I won't allude too much:

--Really skittish about the forest and will really dig her heels in if they have to move through it once the sun sets.

--Has really terrible nightmares and therefore doesn't get a lot of sleep at night

--Doesn't like having her back to people or to doorways

--Occasionally says "we" instead of "I" because she's used to referring to herself and her twin

--Always likes to be aware of her surroundings and always makes sure she has a few escape routes in sight

She just came from being trapped for a week in a village full of ghosts attacking her, with unclean water, little food, and even less sleep.

IDk if you want me to tell you what happened with her sister, it's kind of a spoiler but. Once you get a little into the game itself it kind of becomes obvious so it's up to you. (Or if you just want to read her information too that works Hkjdg)

I'll give you permission too! I'll most likely use brackets when interacting with Reid, and you can look at his profile, but here's some smaller things not mentioned.

-He gets really quiet and half-sad, half-nostalgic whenever he sees a hurricane, or even just swirls of wind that form patterns similar to a hurricane's. (I can elaborate on this if you want, but it's a long story.)
-He is mindful of plants, and he won't randomly pluck their leaves/stems/whatever, unless he's picking fruit to eat. (Again, I can elaborate if you wish.)
-He believes in respecting all sentient species, whether human or not. (Not sure if Reid will be able to deduce this, though, since I believe his canon doesn't have sentient non-humans?)

YO SUP I'm fine with Heather being profiled! She likes to think she's the queen of bluffing but the truth is she's a pretty open book, so he probably won't find it too hard.

Like most Silent Hill characters, she's got mountains of hidden issues, too much to really condense into a few bullet points, but should anything noticeable come up in tags, I'll be as detailed as possible in brackets about anything that Reid might pick up on!

NO PROBLEM I am like the queen of unnecessary bracket details so HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO 'REID' HER JUST FINE haha I kill me

But yeah, the game stuff still applies, but Heather has been in Route for over two years now so she has developed quite a bit! I'll be as detailed as I can! c:

I'm completely okay with Hope being profiled! Most of his body language shows that he's a leader and that he knows how to deal with people/employees/team members on a professional basis. He's also got that scientist vibe whenever he speaks about something that interests him. However, he tends to have marks all over his body, and when his gloves are off, he has callouses, so he's not the typical CEO/director type and he does get his hands dirty (literally), as he's more of an engineer than anything.

... He does have a huge mountain of issues though, but as he's a Stepford smiler in front of people he doesn't know well, he hides them pretty well. Of course, Reid can pick up on this and notice that his smile isn't quite in his eyes.

I'll be dumping things in brackets during threads if anything else comes up!

Geddoe isn't very talkative and is a fairly private person, so he's hard for most people to read, but there's plenty of small cues if you're looking. I try to be sure to include what I can in action tags, but will also happily explain in more detail OOCly anytime on request. :|b

Some things of note though that aren't likely to come up in regular action tags:

-Geddoe is actually much, much older than he looks; he's actually 112, he just hasn't aged in the past 70+ years. This definitely comes across in subtle ways in his attitude at times.

-He tends to deliberately keep a distance from people. A lot of this is just having a bit of a standoffish attitude that can be easily written off as him just being a grouchy old man, but there's definitely some deep-running sorrow and regret there for having outlived so many people he's held dear and having to look forward to outliving any more he meets now.

-An appearance note, but he always wears gloves. If/when he's convinced to actually wear the outfit he was provided with instead of standing out horribly in his leather armor, he will still insist on finding a pair of gloves (whether full gloves or fingerless) that he will be wearing at all times. You would be very hard-pressed to find out why he does this, though, as it's something he's been hiding for literally decades. :|b (spoilers: it's because there's a powerful magical thingy in his right hand)

-Despite all appearances to the contrary, he's actually a total idealist at heart, tends to admire goodhearted charismatic leader types (e.g. RPG protagonists, Rider from Fate/Zero, etc) and prefers to let someone else be in the spotlight rather than trying to play leader himself.

...and that's all I can think of for Geddoe for now, but again, feel free to poke me if we're ever threading and something comes up you want to know more of!

Which, then, leaves me with the more fun of my two characters, namely Sion. Sion I would say is going to be REALLY damn hard to truly read- it'd be easy to find out that he's a king and where some of his allegiances lie, and even that he may be lying about some things, but overall he should be hard to read. He can lie with precisely the same confidence that he tells the truth, and the fact that he hid his inner turmoil and plans from even the people closest to him for months, even years, is a major factor in the plot at points in his canon.

However, some things totally are fair game, including:

-He seems to prefer to avoid/defer confrontation and settle things peaceably whenever possible. This isn't solely because he lacks the means to do much by strength of arms, either- he genuinely believes in wanting things to be best for everyone.

-Ryner is like his absolute most favorite person in the world and therefore Sion's single biggest weakness. Sion will do truly stupid things if Ryner is involved/at risk somehow, and even without that happening it's not hard to see that Sion's a bit protective/possessive of him at times.

-Particularly if you observe him for a length of time, Sion can appear to be a little too perfect; no one could smile so much even when dealing with unpleasant things, etc, and so on. Building off of this, then, it's possible to tell from observation that he is a lying liar at times, just difficult to pinpoint which those times are. He's hiding something, but good luck figuring out what on earth that could possibly be....

-He's actually had a pretty rough life, and so despite his appearance is actually a decent fighter. This almost never comes up though, but yeah you can tell he's been trained enough to be able to hold his own against most people, and he's alert enough to notice details and be difficult to sneak up on, though he of course would generally only make mental note of his observations rather than comment on it.

-Again, something that might take some observation because Sion is really good at faking it, but he tends not to form deep bonds with people easily. He genuinely likes people, but he'll keep them at arm's length much of the time. This is most pronounced when confronted with women who take a romantic interest in him, because he'll steadfastly refuse to get involved in any such relationship no matter what his own interest is. Much of this stems from his childhood generally being full of terrible things and people close to him being killed; from Sion's point of view, it's simply safer for people NOT to get too closely involved with him.

...so yeah, basically there's more to Sion than meets the eye, but he's hard to pin down beyond "this guy is an idealist but also a charismatic liar" sort of thing. Though again, feel free to ask for more details! Even if it's not something that would ICly come up, I'm always happy to explain. |Db

Hey, just letting you know that I'm okay with most profiling that may or may not go on; I usually do long sections of my tags in brackets, so there's always that to work with in terms of mannerisms and such!

The only really, really large exception I have to this is Descole/[personal profile] scientificflair. Descole is from an ongoing video game series, and there are a lot of Big Reveals about him that have not been...uh, revealed yet. As in, we literally do not know what he looks like, where he's from, what his backstory is, what his deal in general is, how/why he knows Layton...he has definite personality that can be determined, hence he's playable, but pretty much nothing else outside of a few things that have been pieced together. I'm being intentionally vague with literally everyone, should things be asked about him, because I want to avoid retconning as much as I can; as such, I'd really like that the profiling be kept to a bare minimum, should he be interacted with.

Outside of that, we're pretty much good! The others are very straightforward, really, and should you have any questions I can always be pinged over IM/PM.

[personal profile] roemance 2012-09-21 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretty much!

Because of the blood thing the way he sees it is that he is automatically better than every troll that isn't Feferi. He had constant plans for genocide in order to kill all the land dwellers, goign as far to commission doomsday devices that always failed. yet he still doesn't see why everyone has an issue with him or his plans, because he's perfectly within his right to do it!

He has also modelled himself on these figures from military history as well as his ancestor and wants a life like theirs filled with conquest and romance, so basically take all these dramatic douchebags and combine them and you have Eridan.

Then there's the narcissism yeah, always pushing for people to spend time with him or become romantically involved with him but instead of going about it like a normal person he seems to just try and bulldoze his way in without actually taking the other peoples feelings into account.

Sooo yeah then he blinded Sollux, Killed Feferi, blew up the matriorb which was the object that would revive their race and thus finally living through his dream of genocide, before killing kanaya who in turn bcame a vampire and killed him. Of course he isn't sorry for any of it and as usual it is everyone elses fault and they made him do it.

So yeah.

ISSUES MAN.

friendyousohard: Unsure looking Twilight. (Erm... are you sure about this Pinkie?)

[personal profile] friendyousohard 2012-09-23 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Twilight is probably going to be a pretty interesting person to profile for him because she tends to be rather contradictory.

He knows already that she's bookish, logical, to the point, and compassionate, I figure, so I wouldn't be surprised if he'd already pegged her for the stereotypical nerd girl. Which isn't too far off, really. Other things he might notice about her as their interactions continue include:

She places immense value on her friends. All of her friends, but most especially a small internal group. He'll probably pick up the names of the other Mane Six (Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy, who is the only other one in Johto right now) just from talking to her as they become relevant to various topics of conversation.

She's both a fount of knowledge, and absorbs it readily, being very eager to learn from and teach others.

She's a scientist, and learns (almost) as much from experimentation and experience as books, but she uses her books as the foundation for just about everything, building off the information she finds in them.

She's not precisely shy, but is very poor at social cues and unwritten rules. He might consider that she has undiagnosed autism, though I doubt he's the type to actually make a diagnosis without an actual psychologist handy (and I don't have a headcanon about that particular issue). At the very least, he'll realize quite easily that she has a tendency to ramble on about topics that interest her without realizing that others might not share her interest.

She has a mentor, someone who she practically worships the ground they walk on. He'll probably get the name "Princess Celestia" out of her, as well as the fact that this person is the ruler of her homeland (apparently Equestria is a Principality).

A couple things he probably won't realize, since Twilight will be trying to avoid talking about them for fear of people thinking she's crazy, will be that she's a mage and that she's a pony. Those will be dropped directly in a thread if at all.

That's all I can think of for now. If you're familiar with her canon and have any other things you think he might notice that you want to ask about, let me know! Or just tell me if you have any questions.
friendyousohard: (Gala dress)

[personal profile] friendyousohard 2012-09-23 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, exactly! It's worth noting that later episodes of the show, particularly the Season Two finale, really seem to support this viewpoint, providing us with two other ponies Twilight was familiar with as a child but started having less and less contact with as she grew older, her older brother Shining Armor and her foalsitter Princess Cadence. Her relationships with both were extremely close and she still seems to practically worship the ground they walk on, almost as much as she does with Celestia. In other words, even as a child she loved and indulged in interpersonal contact, but she never seemed to realize it because when it came to the people she was having that contact with, she just figured it was natural that she loved them.

Which brings us to something else I neglected to mention. Twi's not very self-aware. She rarely seems to turn her intelligence to actively studying and getting to know herself, which is one of the primary reasons (aside from simple lack of practice) that she keeps making those faux-pas. She doesn't ever seem to ask herself why she, for example, thinks the world of Princess Celestia, she just does. It's an interesting little blind spot for a character who's so driven to deconstruct and analyze just about everything.

I'm totally okay with Crow being profiled, especially since he's easier to read than an open book more often than not. Let me give you a quick rundown of the facts here--

He's an orphan, and has probably every possible parental abandonment issue in existence, so topics like family hold a great meaning to him. He also has a soft spot for children, to the point he adopted a bunch of orphans in the canon. His kids and friends are the most important to him and he'd do literally anything to protect them -- or, in case the harm has already been done, find the responsible person and make them pay.

Crow comes from the lowest social class in a post-apocalyptic dystopia, and has spent most of his life in a "survival of the fittest" kind of environment, which has earned him good reflexes and fast reactions to things, but generally doesn't show too much in daily life otherwise. While he's not too book-smart (if at all), he's definitely quick-witted and capable of making decisions on the run. He can also be a capable planner/strategist, should the need for that arise, especially when it comes to playing Duel Monster card game (which his world pretty much revolves around on the same level Johto does around Pokémon).

He's also a terrible liar (the kind that, if asked what's wrong, will respond with "OH NO IT'S NOTHING HAHA YEAH REALLY NO let's change the topic maybe"), especially when it concerns his own problems and/or emotions -- let's face it, his feelings are all over the place for people to see. Still, Crow is known for his ability to trick people rather easily and bluff completely believably, both in dueling and life in general. And that's only the beginning of the list of reasons why he's a horrible hypocrite.

His criminal past written on his face (literally, in case you're wondering what those yellow marks stand for), cares very little about the law and generally comes off rather rebellious, if not like a complete jerk, but he's a really gentle and kind guy beneath that all.

... Okay that has turned into a bit of TL;DR, sorry for that! Hope at least some of it would be useful. I'll do my best to include anything else in the brackets c:

Feel free. Both Lafiel and Ken should have their apps on their journals for extra insight.

Lafiel may throw him a bit, since she's a genetically engineered human from an advanced civilization so some of her tells may not map to 21st century culture. He'll probably be able to figure out she's military (even ignoring her uniform) from her normal bearing. She doesn't have many extraneous movements especially when working (mostly because Abh piloting setups are pretty sensitive). She also has a 'sixth sense' that gives her low-res 360° vision, so she doesn't look around that much. (For example, in canon, when we first meet her, she introduces herself to another character, tells him to follow her, then starts walking, without turning her head to see if he follows, because she could tell.) Her balance is also enhanced.

She also tends to speak very confidently, and conceals emotions, especially fear/sadness, usually by being very serious and not angry. (When she's mildly upset, she gets angry.)

Ken tends to be very un-self-confident around strangers. He'll sink to the background in groups, and have a sort of slumpy don't notice my posture. You can see him relax in smaller groups or around friends. Certain subjects will also make him shy back (I'll let you know) -- Ken has more than a few issues he's working through. He's also a lot more confident when his sprite is around, or in a crisis (when he can't worry). From the way he moves when he's in a fight, despite the fact he's 12, he's used to at least dodging things. He's also participated in judo as a sport, which should alter his posture.

Reid is free to deduce just about anything wrt Mary. You can find a short summary of her canon here.

- She's bullish, cold, and cruel in conversation over Pesterchum. However, that doesn't preclude her from having had several very public nervous breakdowns.
- Said breakdowns mostly revolve around her reacting to a perceived or real loss of power or agency over herself. Frequently takes advantage of others to her own ends.
- Requires constant attention and positive reinforcement from others. Easily hurt, oversensitive, or ashamed.
- If you want to put a label on it, you might call her narcissistic?
- She has encyclopedic knowledge of plants and fungi, particularly poisonous ones.
- In childhood, was the focus of physical and emotional abuse from her parents (namely her father). Reid may be able to deduce the first from physical signs like old, healed injuries. Furthermore, she'll show signs of having recently recovered from a period of malnutrition.

I wouldn't mind Reid being able to deduce some things about Madame:

- She's lazy and a hoarder (messy and eclectic house).
- She's manipulative (she slips in and out of different masks and styles of speaking to get what she wants from different people).
- She's also highly observant (goes along with being manipulative and her SBURB game powers).
- She has more issues than she lets on (if he reads back in the Jarjammed network logs, he'll see her threatening to cut out the Signless' tongue for using his Seer of Truth powers to look at her past).

Given that she's from a different planet/societal structure/universe from him, and an alien, for all intents and purposes, I think he might have trouble deducing much beyond that.

literally foyet

Okay, no, since saying that is glossing over the context for Foyet's crimes and Vladik's personality-- but Vladik wouldn't be out of place on an episode of CM except for the part where he's a troll. I don't have as much of his backstory worked out as I'd like. If we come to a Vladik and Reid encounter, just ask me for anything you need specified and I can do that! OTHERWISE:

- Physical and sexual sadist
- Little regard for anyone's feelings or boundaries; grossly irresponsible, callous, and promiscuous
- Purposefully intimidating, with a gloss of arrogant charm
- The memory of his ancestor/mentor is a point of contention with him-- he clearly feels intimidated and used; furthermore he's hypersensitive about his physical disability (the loss of a limb)
- Any sadistic traits are amplified and encouraged as a consequence of his place in troll society (highblood and subjuggulator)

I am 100% okay with Jay being profiled!

I accidentally wrote you a novel about him:

- he's FTM and was brought up as a girl (and thought he was a girl) 'til the age of 18 or so and it shows just a tiny bit? He gets really defensive about his gender when and if it's doubted, especially since he's super fucking effeminate and flaming.
- he's ... really flaming. Like really. He's comfortable in his sexuality and he really likes to flaunt it. He gets a kick out of being transgressive.
- he also gets a kick out of being transgressive in other ways -- socially inappropriate, rude or just plain bizarre.
- he uses his effeminacy and gender non-conformity and sexuality as a defence, of sorts? He flirts aggressively, to put people (esp. other men) off.
- he Cares Very Much about people but he hides it beneath a veneer of cruelty and carelessness, one that comes down pretty easily when things get genuinely hairy.
- when things get hairy, he tends to shed all his defences and turn into a grade-A fusspot. He would drop everything and rush to someone's aid if it caught his attention at an appropriate time, i.e. when he wasn't preoccupied with himself. (See: the test drive thread we did :V)
- he was emotionally, physically and sexually abused by his ex-boyfriend and he still hasn't recovered very well. He's fine as long as you don't remind him of his ex. So mocking, belittling, ostentatious shows of how much power you have over him would set him off, as would smaller things. Genuine, prolonged emotional and sexual intimacy are a bit of a struggle for him. Physical, not so much.
- he was isolated and controlled by said ex and basically hasn't had any significant social contact (beyond his ex and his twin sister) since he was eighteen 'til about twenty seven, when his ex finally croaked)
- he was complicit in his ex's death and wavers between deep regret and grief for his ex and shaky, unsure joy that he's rid of him.
- he's tres clingy and emotionally needy.
- he adores being the centre of attention, positive or negative.
- so he's a huge fucking drama queen but you could probably tell that without being a profiler.
- he's pretty handsy. Again, attention-seeking.
- he has absolutely no idea how to deal with emotions and tends to break the fuck down when he feels anything remotely strong.
- he's actively grieving right now, for the boyfriend he had in-game who disappeared and for his twin sister, who died about four years ago.
- he perceives himself as inherently inferior to everyone else and a lot of his posturing and showing off and transgression is an attempt to mute that self-hatred.
- paradoxically, he's pretty cocky.
- he's also very abrasive when the mood takes him and sometimes he mocks and belittles others to bolster his own self-confidence.
- he is unconsciously looking to replace the people he lost (his daughter that he had at age 17, whom he gave up, his twin sister, his ex, to an extent), but he's not making a very good go of it. Currently, he accidentally became a parental figure of sorts to Ienzo and he has a very emotionally close but platonic relationship with Bertie.
- he's looking for redemption for his past sins -- he was a necromancer, mentored by his ex-boyfriend and while he's more or less come to terms with what he did, he's still looking for a chance to Redeem Himself, though he's not entirely sure what that would entail.
- anything else you want to know, feel free to ask me!

Some other stuff I forgot:

- Jay is physically unimposing (five foot five and very skinny), which is why he tries to intimidate people in other ways.
- he's ~fragile~
- he's poorly educated and ashamed of it and tries to hide it.
- his accent is a very careful put-on -- his actual, "natural" accent is a lot rougher and the working-class accent of the place he's from.

Okay, I think I've covered all the major points. Once again, apologies for the novel!
swishywizard: (Default)

[personal profile] swishywizard 2013-01-14 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
ONE LAST THING:

- Jay used to be super-hopeful and optimistic and that kind of got knocked out of him by his ex, so now he's pessimistic and ~cynical~ to protect himself.
- he's still a hopeful romantic optimist at heart but good luck getting him to show it.

Reid's free to deduce anything about either of my characters - Shelly (on this journal) and Effy ([personal profile] through_glasses) - being that the former will be quite unhappy and the latter is, for the most part, rather easy to read. :V BUT HERE ARE NOTES and do feel free to poke me for whatever you need!

Shelly
- professional assassin with a pretty strict moral code which he will not violate under any circumstances
- is... actually currently going through a character arc that might appear to contradict the above (horrorterror corruption and all). he will climb out of it soon!
- he will not stop being an assassin, though. The de Killer name is pretty much the most important thing in the world to him!
- he loved his mentor - the previous de Killer and his adoptive father. who then became his now deceased sprite.
- (shelly killed his sprite, because his sprite told him too. Family Relations.)
- Shelly has some fame for being bumbling and incompetent in the game, but this is mostly because a) he is socially awkward and b) his canon just... has tons of natural silly undertones... IN SPITE OF THAT he is a legitimately good killer! He just needs some more years of experience on him.
- oh yeah here's his wiki page.

Effy
- young teenage girl with some confidence/dependence issues
- feels embarrassed about her real name, Soeria, because it's so... not-American. Or not-modern. Or anything realistic, really. Also because she's never sure if she knows how to pronounce it right.
- latches on to people preeeetty easily
- kind of has an envious streak that she tries to repress
- her sprite, who pops up in memos from time to time, is a downright sociopathic asshole.

Feel free to profile Sora! Some basic info:

- he's a keyblade master (was the only existing one for a while other than Mickey but now there are quite a few) and has saved the world(s)... we'll go with "multiple times" at this point. as such he hasn't exactly been in his bedroom/home much recently (don't mind me, I wasn't sure how literally to take that).
- he's super friendly and social and values his friends more than anything. would-sacrifice-himself-for-them-in-a-heartbeat, tunnel-visiony varieties of more than anything.
- he's got a bit of a hero complex. he likes being the hero/saving people a lot.
- he's optimistic to the point of occasionally being unhealthy/shoving worries to the back of his mind.
- he's got a really black and white sense of justice.
- he's pretty gullible.

- Puts people into broadly defined categories based on how much he feels he has to respect them, and has a hard time changing his views on others.
- Though he doesn't show obvious across-the-board disrespect for women, he definitely has issues with women.
- Defers to his perceived authority figures, seeks their approval.
- When angered, his immediate urge is to escalate to physical violence, though he's begun resisting it.
- Intensely prideful, especially as regards to his martial ability. (Swords.)
- Very protective of Gentaro.

Deeper:
- Father withheld affection, seeking a father figure.
- Abandoned by mother, part of the reason for hating women.
- Manipulated emotionally and to some extent sexually by long time male best friend.
- Madonna/whore complex.
- Self-loathing, sure that he will drive away everyone who cares about him with his own unpleasantness. Feels helpless to stop it.

Mamoru
Obviously:
- Super in love with Usagi.
- Uses sarcasm to distance himself from others.
- Private, not used to a lot of intimate interactions.
- Spends a lot of time trying to look cool.
- Is actually not that cool.
- Kind of slick though. Looks good in a suit.
- Tries to be mature all the time!!

Deeper:
- Lost his memory at age 8! On his birthday!!! He never really let himself be a kid after that.
- Was a prince in a past life, sometimes carries himself that way.
- Can read peoples' memories by touching them, both as a natural ability and with his powers as Guardian of Memory. As a result, he doesn't touch people a lot!

PROFILING STUFF OKAY I know precisely zero things about criminal minds so if I leave out DETAILS that Reid would be able to determine just bug me for them because I'll take any excuse to barf words at people.

IENZO
  • Okay big important thing Ienzo is FTM trans like Jay but the key thing is he's been living as a guy since before he was eight and is incredibly careful about everything he does with regards to gender and presentation so Reid should probably not be able to deduce that unless he's straight up doing some invasion of privacy bullshit.
  • Okay that bit aside Ienzo is also kind of PTSD. His homeworld is full of monsters and has been full of monsters since he was a little kid. He is accustomed to things and people trying to kill him and while he's not exactly going to win a boxing tournament he could probably best an untrained fighter much larger than him.
  • However he absolutely cannot take a punch himself because he's used to dodging and relying on magic. He's very good at magic and carries himself with more confidence in a fight than someone of his size reasonably should and then he starts lighting things on fire with his brain and it all makes sense
  • He also has a lot of trouble concealing his emotions and tamping down emotional reactions even though he tries REALLY HARD. He hasn't had feelings since he was like eight years old he's a bit out of practice but very convinced that he has to be a responsible adult and that means being levelheaded and controlled at all times. He's not any good at that.

ROCKY
  • He's a rumrunner. A bootlegger. A procurer of illicit alcoholic beverages. However he DOES NOT DRINK and is secretly a bit judgmental of those who do. Very secretly. Would never show a hint of it to anyone secretly.
  • He's a cat.
  • Despite his massively outgoing nature he is actually decent at keeping things that should be under the radar properly below, such as his profession. Mostly he fools the layman, though, so folks like Reid (and his sharp-eyed aunt, for example) should be able to see through that right quick.
  • He's got some SERIOUS ABANDONMENT ISSUES and a strong desire to please people the only way he knows how (by being "helpful" and entertaining and sort of desperate). This probably is some kind of vicious cycle involving how he gets kicked out of absolutely everywhere he goes for being. Rocky. The only cat incompetent enough to always land on his face.

OKAY THAT'S ABOUT IT I'M SO SORRY ABOUT WORDS SOMETIMES THIS JUST HAPPENS

Hello hello!

So I'm Sandy and I play both Nico Minoru here and Gentaro Kisaragi ([personal profile] uchuukita) and I'm giving blanket permission for you to know whatever you'd like! Here's a rundown.

Nico
  • Nico is the daughter of evil dark wizards and has Issues with concept of growing up to be either them or her also evil grandmother!

  • She has murdered two people, and damned two more to watch their timeline go down a line that involves them being murdered!

  • At age 16, her best friend was murdered for her sake, and died in her arms

  • Since then, Nico has been playing mom to a bunch of teens and kids, saving the world twice over in the process

  • Nico tries very hard to be a good person, but she can be selfish and defensive, and she lashes out at those she feels have wronged or threatened her

Gentaro
  • His parents died when he was 9; it's been 9 years since. He's actually remarkably well-adjusted, given the circumstances, but he holds his parent's memory in high regard, and especially his father's words, "friends are what will save you"

  • Gentaro is 10000% sure he is going to be friends with every person in the Incipisphere!

  • Gentaro recently lost his dominant right arm to GLaDOS; there's a bunch of internalized ableism going on there about himself, but ironically he's more than supportive of others!

  • Basically, Gentaro has high confidence and self-esteem, but he places a lot of value on his newfound calling as a superhero, and not being able to be a superhero has been a shock for him.

  • He can be aggressive and gets into fights easily, but he's genuinely well-meaning and insightful.

Basically, if you need anything else, let me know! Gentaro especially is an open book. Nico might be a harder nut to crack, she's gotten good at poker faces, but probably not for Reid tbh.
