Can anyone possibly give me advice on how to train a Misdreavus and a Litwick? I caught them recently, and I'm having trouble making them behave.

[And by that, he means that they keep trying to eat his soul when he's not paying attention and/or randomly screeching to scare people. That on top of a baby munna with separation anxiety is really making it hard to do anything. As he types, Flora is clinging to his head, Missy is being pinned by Yang, and Nate is in his ball because he wouldn't stop snacking on Reid.]

Advice on Ghost- and Psychic-types in general would be appreciated, actually. I never took care of animals at home, let alone animals that are capable of consuming emotions, so I'm a little out of my element.

Also, I wanted to thank everyone who tried to help Flora two weeks ago. She's doing much better now, and Nurse Joy thinks that she'll be just fine.

The elemental strengths and weaknesses are unfortunately still a mystery to me. I've been attempting to work it out with what I know, but some don't match up: for example, psychics are understandably strong to fighting Pokémon, yet for some reason, they're weak to bugs.

Also, if you suddenly hear a voice in your mind, it may be your Munna. I've heard that psychic Pokémon can communicate with their owners directly.

Yeah, I've read about it, but there aren't any particular reasons given for the listed strengths and weaknesses. Books will say that water is powerful against stone, but they won't say why. I'm planning on looking into it.

Yeah, someone warned me about that, so I didn't freak out or anything when Flora started exercising telepathy. Her communication can be simplistic, but she's improving very quickly.

Water causes rock to erode- unless of course it's different in your world? Granted, wind is also a factor in this process, though over here flying Pokémon do nothing to ground Pokémon but are immune to them, which makes less sense.

It sounds like she's making more progress than Hope- though I imagine it's because he used to be a normal type before evolving into his current psychic form.

No, it works that way in my world, but it takes much more than a spray from a water gun to erode a rock to any noticeable degree. It's actually used to dam water, although admittedly, still water doesn't erode anything nearly as much as running water. Despite all that, though, a few water-type attacks could make a rock-type pass out.

Was Hope an Eevee? That's the only normal-type that evolves into a psychic-type that I've read about.

At least we're on the same page here, though I think you'll be surprised at how much power a water type has, especially a fully-trained, fully-evolved one. In fact, all fully-trained Pokémon are all very dangerous in their own right.

Hope was an Eevee, yes, though he's now called an Espeon.

I'll admit, I haven't seen any fully-trained, fully-evolved animals. I've really only read about them so far, and what I read doesn't really seem like it's possible.

I've really only read about Eevees and Espeons. Was there any difficulty adjusting to the complete type change?

Several people have Pokémon at level 100; they should be able to tell you about how that works.

To be honest, it looks a little like puberty. [... Nice analogy there, Hope.] I have three Pokémon from the Eevee line, all in different forms, and they tend to react the same way at first; disorientation and confusion. Sometimes they tend to forget that they have new abilities available to them, but they adjust quickly. As for the trainers, it all depends on how well you're able to adapt to sudden changes. For the most part, the Eevees' base personalities don't change, but are simply added with new quirks by their forms.
