4th Pokémon Caught Γ Text/Action for Violet City Χ
Can anyone possibly give me advice on how to train a Misdreavus and a Litwick? I caught them recently, and I'm having trouble making them behave.
[And by that, he means that they keep trying to eat his soul when he's not paying attention and/or randomly screeching to scare people. That on top of a baby munna with separation anxiety is really making it hard to do anything. As he types, Flora is clinging to his head, Missy is being pinned by Yang, and Nate is in his ball because he wouldn't stop snacking on Reid.]
Advice on Ghost- and Psychic-types in general would be appreciated, actually. I never took care of animals at home, let alone animals that are capable of consuming emotions, so I'm a little out of my element.
Also, I wanted to thank everyone who tried to help Flora two weeks ago. She's doing much better now, and Nurse Joy thinks that she'll be just fine.

However I do have a num8er of Psychic-types I could advise you on.
::::)

But as for the Psychic-type, I have a munna named Flora. She was born twenty days ago, and she was my second animal, so I feel like I'm not exactly prepared for taking care of her. Is it normal for juvenile psychics to develop telepathy skills slowly, or is that just her?
Text;
I'll have to fix that.
It is normal for some psychics to develop telepathy.
My Gall8de can communic8 telepathically, and also possesses high amounts of empathy.
So it's pretty normal.
As for taking care of her, a lot of the 8easts are good at taking care of themselves.
I guess, just feed it and stuff, make sure it doesn't get eaten or something.
Text;
Well, I figured they'd be able to take care of themselves, but Flora seem pretty... clingy? She doesn't seem to want to do things by herself. Is that normal for Psychic babies, or is that just mine? Or possibly characteristic of the species?

...though, ghost types do tend to be more problematic than most....
[Text]
Why do you think their behavior differs significantly from other types?
Perma-vide here (it takes him too long to type XD)
*...not that even he always succeeds at this; he's a bit prone to spoiling some of his a bit at times.....*
And I'm not really certain; I couldn't tell you if being a ghost type necessarily means they tend toward such behavior, or if it's coincidentally common to ghosts, but it seems typical of the type.

Have you dealt with ghosts before?

You have a dark Pokémon though, and he may be able to help, as ghosts are weak to his type. I suggest leaving them in their balls or keeping them in the PC until you have enough experience to handle such Pokémon. If you're amendable to that, of course.
Psychics for the most part are intelligent enough to know when to back off. You'll be fine with them.
text;
My Absol does seem to be effective in helping. He's not always effective in making them behave, but he can restrain them if they have to. I would prefer to not put them in the PC for long--it feels weird to put borderline sapient beings in a storage unit.
What about juvenile psychics? My munna is only twenty days old.
text;
Darks and steels are the ones most resistant to ghosts, though you'd be hard-pressed to find them early on. Other types can affect them if necessary.
I suppose you can tell that I don't have much experience with ghosts- my first and only ghost Pokémon was adopted by another trainer.
As for psychics however, they're all intelligent and capable of understanding what you say. Some of them tend of have quirks though, and you may want to keep them from accessing your PokéGear or other valuables. Other than that, you may raise them like any Pokémon you have.

Of course, back then Reid was surrounded by books, and not by rambunctious Pokemon.
With her Spinarak perched contentedly on her shoulder and her Kadabra hovering faithfully just behind her elbow, she pauses to observe Reid's predicament for a minute or two before walking boldly over, taking a trajectory that will keep her relatively out of his immediate line of sight until she's near enough to say hello.]
You know it doesn't count if I find you first, Dr. Reid.
action;
Yang is too busy wrestling with Missy the Misdreavus to notice Carmen, and Reid is too busy shoving his 'dex in his pocket and trying to take Flora off his head. Flora's the only one who notices Carmen before she talks, and in surprise, she releases Reid much easier than she would otherwise. Reid is busy giving a private sigh of relief before she talks and JESUS CHRIST Carmen why do you sneak up on people
Reid spins around to see her, his eyes magnified by his glasses, and he hugs Flora to his chest, his entire body language stilted and awkward, because it's one thing to text with someone and it's another to see them in person.] Carmen Sandiego?
[...Wow. Wow, you look exactly like you did in the shows. Give him a second to look you up and down quickly, picking up subtleties, noting the state of her clothes, the animals she has with her, her expression, her body language--and after the split second that takes him, he breaks into a smile.] Well, I guess you beat me this time. I'm still going to find you. [He lightly nudges Yang and Missy with his foot. Yang quickly gets off of Missy, and Missy just huffs and levitates up at Reid's hip, too tuckered out from the wrestling and too curious about Carmen to start randomly screaming again.] It's nice to meet you in the flesh.
action;
argh that asshole, but Violet City was where he disappeared, and this is the first time she's been back in it since.So what goes around comes around, maybe, and this time around it's Dr. Spencer Reid.
Her Spinarak withdraws slightly as a matter of habit, not liking the commotion of the various strange Pokemon in front of him, but he seems comfortable enough nestled on her shoulder, as though he's plenty familiar with riding along on that particular perch — which he is. Likewise, Chief the Kadabra is scoping out Reid's lineup, but he's a faithful partner and if Carmen's not ruffled by their presence, then he's not, either.]
If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that there's always a next time.
[She almost says next crime, but lately she's been trying to get out of that habit. Of saying it, at least, if not of doing it.
Obligingly, she outstretches one hand to Yang for his perusal, and a pet if he cares for it.]
I know Yang and Flora. I didn't realize you'd acquired a friendly ghost as well.

[And you know, Reid will naturally be a blip on his radar when he eventually spots him. LAW ENFORCEMENT BROS and so on, and even if Albert hadn't said to keep an eye out for him Coop likely would've recognised him either way.]
[The greeting is a wide smile, of course.]
Evening, Spencer!
[This guy is cheerful. Even moreso in person. HI]
[action]
Reid jumps, turns to see who's talking, then immediately relaxes when he sees who it is.] H-hi, Cooper!
[He's way more awkward in person, especially when only just officially meeting someone new. His body language is all drawn up into itself, like he doesn't quite know what to do with his lanky limbs.]
I-I didn't know you were here. Wh-... what are you doing in Violet?
[action]
[That's you being blind and oblivious Reid, don't deny it.]
[Coop naturally observes said body language and tilts his head slightly as he regards his fellow law enforcement to-be-bro (don't think you're escaping this for even a second) but still looks faintly amused rather than concerned. Emily, the Espeon, steps forward to look at the stranger curiously as well.]
Gordon wanted a ride, so we're here to accomodate.

I'm not sure if I can help you with that. I've got a Psychic Pokemon, but I don't think it consumes emotions. How can you tell?
[Text]
Well, partially from research, and partially from the fact I will start feeling something akin to fear for one reason or another and then I suddenly don't feel it anymore. Misdreavus apparently eat fear, whereas Litwicks eat... well, I guess the closest approximation would be one's life force. What I've read has been pretty vague so far.
[Text]
That is really strange. I don't think mine does that. Be careful with them. That sounds like it could be dangerous.
