So WHEREVER you are, there's the sound of asqueak yipe startled noise above you. And when you look up, there is a thoroughly frazzled genius sitting (or falling) about ten feet up.]

Your day has only just begun.]
Oh, dear, are you all right, mister Reid?
no subject
You're a Pegasus.
[Yep. That's... a statement that needs to be made.]
no subject
Well, yes, I am... it's me, Fluttershy.

You seem to be in a bit of trouble, señor! Perhaps I can be of some assistance?
no subject
I... y-yes, if you could--if you could help me at all, I w-would really appreciate that.
[It's past the point where he cares about how unpleasant touching strangers is and how fundamentally embarrassing he finds the situation. He is cold and damp (from falling in snow), there's a little blood speckled on his arm (from falling on a cactus), and he is generally eager to get his feet on the ground without breaking any bones.]
no subject
You're caught on a branch, my friend. Try not to move, and I will free you.
[And up into the tree he goes, sticking to the lower branches and only climbing high enough that he can get near the offending branch for a look.
And of course, the branch problem is easily remedied by virtue of the fact that he's got this very nice sword...]

Afraid of heights?
no subject
...No, not really. Just startled by suddenly appearing in a place I wasn't in a moment ago.
[He is staying perched in that tree branch. He's not good at negotiating trees.]
How... h-how are you doing that? Standing on the trunk like that?
no subject
As far as I know we've been able to run long distances against walls and then at some point we tried stopping.
[Now he's actually standing normally on the opposite branch.]

He grunts when he hits the ground, wincing and pressing his hands on his ribs, but luckily, he hasn't broken anything. He sits up, looking at the white-haired girl and the Bisharp.]
Uh...
[He self-consciously, readjusts his messed up clothes, straightening out his wet clothes and brushing off some snow from his elbow.] Hi there?
no subject
She tilts her head, looking to the snow and then the surrounding, snowless ground. She looks back at Reid.]
Were you trying to fly? You're not very good at it. [her voice sounds extremely childish, even more so than her looks would suggest.]

As romantic as the gesture is, you could always simply tell me that you've fallen for me rather than show me. You're only going to get yourself hurt otherwise.
no subject
Oh, look, he was caught this time.
Reid just sort of slumps in the Dragonite's arm, because he's really tired at this point, but he manages to look up at her and process what she's saying. And he's even too tired to give his customary stuttering response to anything resembling a flirt, so instead Rose gets a wry,] You're sure? You know, typically, I don't do grand gestures, but I thought I'd make an exception. [He made an understandable joke! And all he needed was the most ridiculous day of his life sucking all his energy out with a straw.
Then he frowns quizzically and straightens up a little, but he keeps a good grasp of the Dragonite's arm. He's had enough falling down for one lifetime, thank you very much.] Your hair's longer.
no subject
No, what my hair is is a hassle.

Distance equals velocity times time plus one-half acceleration times time squared. One-half acceleration is negative nine-point-eight divided by two is negative four-point nine. Falling means no horizontal velocity so VT is zero so it goes away. Distance equals negative four-point-nine times T squared. Ten feet is three-point-zero-four-eight meters. Three meters equals negative four-point-nine times T squared. Divide both sides by negative four-point-nine. Point-six-one-two equals T squared. The square root of point-six-one-two is...
[That's a little harder. Ummm.]
Point...seven-eight-two. So it will take about eight-tenths of a second to fall from that height.
[She looks relatively content with this conclusion.]
no subject
While he ponders that, the girl starts calculating out loud, and after she's done, he says absently,] Yeah, I know. It's not time I'm worried about, though. [Hm. Now how can he fall while avoiding injury...
Wait. He's the only kid who knew how to do all that calculation when he was eight.] ...Where did you learn how to do those calculations?
no subject
[She rocks back and forth on her heels a little.]
Just the equation. I do the math by myself when I see something to calculate.
[Read: when she's bored, or lonely, or waiting for her brother to get back from
peeing on a treeusing the bathroom.]Newton can bounce up and get you if you hold on to him when he hops.

Giant robot.
GIANT ROBOT.]

[He's actually fine, besides a lot of bruises, scrapes, and general misery, but he feels a migraine coming on.]
I, uh...
Y-yeah, I'm okay. Just, uh, being put in strange places. Y-you, I haven't seen anyone like you before.

Reid looks down from his position perched on a tree branch, and then color promptly drains from his face. His mouth gets dry.]
G-G-Garcia?
[He has been gone for three months, one week, and one day without seeing anyone from his team. That is easily the longest time he has been out of contact with anyone (sans Prentiss when he thought she was dead) from the BAU. They're a family. And for the past three months, he was forced away from his family, so he hasn't even been able to send a letter to his mother or hold his godson. It's been more painful than he wants to admit.
So yeah, his voice might crack a little when he speaks again.] I-Is that you?

[Enjoy this 18 tonne black dragon peering down at you curiously, Spencer. He's very deliberately folding his wings again as though he was never startled at all.]
Are you all right? [And then after a moment he adds,] I didn't know men could just appear in the air like that. How did you do that?
no subject
Reid looks up at the dragon from his palms with big wide eyes, and to be honest, he is done with all these glitches.] I'm, um, I'm fine, thank you. [Besides the little bit of blood on his left arm.] I don't know how I'm doing it. I just keep on reappearing and disappearing at random intervals.
...You're a talking dragon? [Yes, he needs to say that.]
